Good & Cheap Virtual Private Server (VPS)!?
To keep a client happy
One of my clients runs a site which has finally run over the limits of a shared web host. A bit on the frugal side, he wanted to stay under $40 a month to move to a VPS. Even though I host most of my clients, be it on a shared, VPS, or dedicated server I simply could not offer that. So in an attempt to keep my client happy I went on a search for the cheapest VPS server I could find.
Results of the Search
Guess what, I actually found one that has turned out to be pretty decent! The same company I use to register all my client domains has a very good deal on VPS and even dedicated hosting. I’ll likely begin purchasing my client’s dedicated server needs through 1&1 as well. If you are running a single site which has a nice amount of traffic and needs the performance of a VPS check out 1&1 Internet services.

Low Cost Domains
For those who are interested they also offer domains at the lowest costs I’ve seen (without a domainear or reseller account), with free private registration. The private registration does come with a fee if they have to forward mail to you though. There offer reads:
“Free Domains! Get up to 5 FREE domains free for the life of your hosting account!”. I normally just purchase the domains without hosting, although if you need hosting you can grab a domain for free with a basic account.
BTW
I think I’ll be looking into other services and see how they stack up. With any luck I’ll be able to find some other good deals and post it here.
