Laconica Web-Based Install – Again
It’s ugly but if you meet requirements it SHOULD work. I’m sure it’ll have bugs (probably huge ones) but I was tired so yeah… no complaints!

For the installer: Laconica Web Based Installer – Updated Again
Verified to work on DreamHost and BlueHost, mixed results on MediaTemple.

Any chance you can send me the URL you are trying to install on? I’ll see what I can do – from what I can tell it may be failing to extract the archive. I’m available on googletalk: juanjose.galvez@gmail.com

Weird! I’m going to have to figure this one out but apparently only the top portion of the button works. Thanks for the heads up about that. For now I’m just using a larger button. :D

I’m trying to install Laconica on my 1 and 1 hosting domain without VPS, can this be done. I tried the manual install and also your script but I get this :
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /homepages/28/d267012104/htdocs/getuintoacar/getu/installer/code/laconica/installer_class.php on line 7

I owe you huge thanks for this. Installed on Bluehost within an hour from just fiddling. Once done, I tried again and the install took about 2 minutes. Now I’ll check the guts of the install and start tweaking.
