Hello Juan,

I just used your install package to install latest 0.8.0 laconica release and when I finis, when I try to register user I get error:

The database for Mysite.com isn't responding correctly, so the site won't work properly. The site admins probably know about the problem, but you can contact them at webmaster@mysite.com to make sure. Otherwise, wait a few minutes and try again.

I also got these two Failed messages during the installation
Checking for Memcache Class: Failed
Checking for MailParse Extension: Failed

Can you send me what I need to do please?
I used your install package for previous laconica versions and it worked fine

Hi Juanjose,

Yes with each new install I deleted the database and set up a new one on each occasion.

Everything works even posting to Twitter! But nothing on my own site.

I will install again and you can see for yourself any advice JuanJose would be gratefully received.

Will send you an email with the link.

Did you happen to clear your database before each attempt to install? I recommend dropping all the tables after each failed install. In any case let me know the details of your current laconica install and I'll review it - see if we can't get you up and running. Send me an email:

I almost gave up with Laconica, script looks great. Managed to get it installed on my server.

I agree the 'installer' laconica offers is very bad indeed.

After editing the config file etc, it loaded up ok, however when I tested a post it came up blank.

Which is fantastic after several attempts at installing, apparently its something to do with the rendered text in the SQL database not updating properly.

Think I will scrap this if anyone has any suggestions please help!

I went ahead and sent you an email. We should be able to get it cleared up pretty easily.
