Very Cheap and Legal MP3 Downloads
Don’t wait get cheap music now!
Still paying 99 cents a song on iTunes? Wish you could download more music but want to keep it legal? You can!Various websites based in Russia have been around to fill this need; under Russian law these companies only pay royalties based on their profits. Unlike in the USA and other countries where the RIAA has a large amount of influence (not to mention money) this Russian law allows companies to sell music at much lower cost.
As of the time of this writing I’ve found a website called GoMusic.ru selling music at $0.19 per song! Full albums can be purchased for just a couple of dollars.
Recently some websites such as http://www.allofmp3.ru/ have come under legal attack in Russia. An update posted on AllOfMP3.ru on August 27th 2007 has notified the public that the Russian court has ruled in favor of AllOfMP3.ru. An excerpt reads:
“According to the statement from the judge the site had paid a certain amount of the revenue to the right holders in full compliance with the law.”
AllOfMP3.ru had shut down operations but plans to return in full force within “the foreseeable future”. Until the return (and most likely expansion) of AllOfMP3.ru my recommendation for anyone looking to cut the cost of their music pleasures should look into GoMusic.ru.
BTW thanks to everyone who dugg this and those who will digg it! It’s really nice to see people appreciate the information.
